If you have ever heard about, RetpicAfrica, then it’s almost certain that, you heard something positive about it and how they are probably “alleviating poverty” and whatnot. However, beneath all those positive writeups lies a potentially fraudulent platform — one that can go as far as trying to silence people with opposing views.
I don’t mean to scare you but the truth is, RetpicAfrica has portrayed certain signs that make it totally unqualified to be regarded as a “legit” earning platform and if prior to reading this article, you had plans of participating simply because of the nice writeups on social media, then maybe, you were divinely directed to this review.
In this review, I will be breaking down a few things about RetpicAfrica, their earning claims, what I Noticed after risking my own money to test the platform and finally, how the administrators of the platform is actively trying to silence me simply for voicing out my concerns about their platform.
Trust me, it’s going to be quite an interesting read; if you are a lover of truth, endeavour to read this piece to the end in order to understand better where I’m driving at.
What RetpicAfrica Claims to Be
RetpicAfrica Claims to be an earning platform that rewards users for completing simple social media tasks such as; sharing sponsored contents, doing some social media followings or tasks using one’s social media account. It has a number of earning methods that are not yet available, at least at the time of writing this article.
The platform also has a referral program that is tiered i.e. based on the plan activated by one’s referral. Therefore, if you’re able to refer people “who spend good money” on the platform, you stand to enjoy a huge bonus.
A referral incentive that is literally the reason why the platform is being massively promoted across all the pages and profiles on social media. Most people you see talking about it without highlighting some of the very glaring downsides are doing so because of the referral incentive and the fact that, the stringent withdrawal conditions don’t apply to the “sales balance”.
What I Encountered After Sign Up
Prior to activating one of their paid plans, the minimum withdrawal page for both sales and activity section was ₦1,000 and the tasks section had over 20 available.
I felt kind of excited that I was stepping into a different kind of platform having spent quite a long time navigating through dubious platforms but due to usual skepticism, I decided to opt for their lowest plan which costs ₦1,000.
After upgrading to the plan, I first went back to the task page to complete the available tasks and guess how many tasks I met? I saw just two tasks available and the earnings were not profitable enough — as in not enough to even make me feel good about spending the initial capital.
The most frustrating part for me and when I had the sad realisation that I had wasted my money was upon checking the minimum withdrawal threshold. I discovered that, the threshold for activity i.e. tasks is x7 what I saw at first.
Meaning, I need to complete the tasks and earn up to ₦7,000 before I can make my first withdrawal; which means, withdrawal isn’t really feasible/possible.
Therefore, the whole tale of the RetpicAfrica being a wonderful platform and all that are just concocted writeups meant to brainwash people into depositing money into a site that won’t eventually pay them a dime.
Key Reasons Why RetpicAfrica May Not Be Legit
There are key reasons why the platform may likely be a scam for some category of users and they are as follows;
1. Higher Threshold for Activity Balance
This is one of the key indications that a platform may not be legit in the long run. Most dubious platforms tend to have a higher withdrawal threshold for normal tasks and much lower threshold for referral earnings withdrawals. Reason is to make it much difficult for users who cannot refer to be able to earn a dime from their platform.
Most “task earning sites” usually operate using this model. They reward the referrers at the expense of the normal users, thus the reason why you, as a normal user i.e. someone who doesn’t have any means to refer others should exercise caution when it comes to this kind of websites.
The referrers are just after their pockets and after making profits and not bothered about you in anyway. You’re lured into a platform and left in the dark to fight for your capital.
2. Scarcity of Tasks & High level of insincerity
Like I said earlier, most things changed after I upgraded to one of their plans. The minimum threshold increased, number of tasks reduced significantly and I also discovered that, the so called earning methods are actually limited to just social tasks and sponsored posts.
Meaning, as a user, you can only earn by either completing the social tasks or sharing sponsored posts (that is excluding the referral part) hence, RetpicAfrica is not even rewarding as some individuals claim on social media.
The platform is quite insincere and there aren’t many tasks to complete. You will probably struggle to earn even up to your initial capital.
3. Unreasonably High Withdrawal Threshold
The unfortunate part is, everyone’s withdrawal threshold is different. Users on the least plan like me, have ₦7,000 threshold but users who buy a higher plan also have a much higher threshold — meaning, you will certainly struggle to withdraw from the site as a normal, average user. The platform is designed in such a way that, you must refer to make any withdrawal from it.
Referral-based schemes that are designed in this manner usually end up causing severe financial losses to the users. Take for instance, Voice Earn.
How RetpicAfrica Tried to Silence Me
After spending the initial ₦1,000 on the platform and discovering that, it’s far from legit. I decided to make a review video of the platform on my YouTube channel and guess what happened after a few days?
RetpicAfrica applied for a copyright takedown of my video in the bid to silence my review and stop unsuspecting people from knowing the truth about the platform. You can check out a notification I got from YouTube shortly after reviewing their platform
It’s quite ironical that a brand that claims to be alleviating poverty could go as far as hitting me with a copyright takedown just because I said MY TRUTH about their platform. It says alot about who they are and the more REASONS why you ought to do proper research and ask deeper questions before giving them your hard earned money.
If they could go as far as trying to silence me for trying to tell people what I experienced, I don’t think your money is in any way safe.
Way Forward
I have countered the copyright strike and hopefully, if it gets overturned, I’ll make a follow up publication on the process and also delve deeper into the difficulties I face as an unbiased reviewer on this space.
This is not the first time I’m getting an unjust strike aimed at silencing my view and this won’t be the last but would it stop me from being unbiased in my publications or video reviews? The answer is NO.

Based on everything we’ve discussed in this article. I think you are in a better position to say if RetpicAfrica is legit or a suspicious platform. Everything written here is my opinion and feedback based on what truly transpired. I actually upgraded my account to their lowest plan to test it out and found out all I’ve told you guys.
